Achieve total body conditioning with safe, low impact pilates, yoga and fitness exercises. Classes are run by Pat, who is a certified Pilates, Functional and Fascial Fitness, Yoga and Pilates instructor, combining her passion for these different modalities to bring you unique and effective exercise sessions. Classes are held at pilates fairy meadow Surf Club and Kiama Downs Surf Club offering beautiful ocean views, fresh air and a range of group classes to suit everyone’s schedule.
Our Pilates studio is spread across 2 custom built rooms starting with our lockers and seating area then moving into the reformer pilates room with 7 machines and a large mat pilates studio complete with magic circles, therabands and bounce boards. We also offer a variety of smaller group fitness sessions to improve core strength, flexibility and balance.
The key to correct performance of any Pilates exercise is the ability to achieve neutral spine and activate the deep stabilising muscles (transversus abdominis & pelvic floor) correctly. These principles should be learned prior to commencing any Pilates exercise and applied to all exercises to ensure maximum benefit.
